Chermside
Chermside post office, 8 km north of the Brisbane general post office, opened on 1 July 1886 as Downfall Creek and was renamed Chermside (in honour of Lieutenant General Sir Herbert Charles Chermside, G.C.M.G., who was Governor of Queensland from 1901 - 1905), in May 1903
