Telegraph

The Queensland postal and telegraph services were amalgamated on 15 November 1879. Many post offices combined postal and telegraphic functions and Queensland postage stamps are known used with various Electric Telegraph Office oval handstamps (crown inside oval, crown on top of oval, and no crown) as well as Telegraph Office date stamps for Ipswich and Toowoomba.
