Capalaba

Capalaba post office, 10 km east of the Brisbane general post office, opened on 20 May 1867 as Tingalpa. It was renamed Capalaba on 1 March 1874, when the Capalaba date stamp was introduced, before reverting back to Tingalpa on 8 June 1875. However, the Capalaba date stamp continued to be used until at least 1882 and perhaps even until the Tingalpa post office was reduced to a receiving office in 1892
