Mungindi

Mungindi post office, 87 km east south east of Dirranbandi. The post office opened on the New South Wales side of the border on 1 September 1865 and the town was transferred to New South Wales administration on 1 April 1867. This post office closed in 1877 

A new Mungindi post office opened on the Queensland side of the border in 1880 and was reduced to a receiving office around 1902. The original NSW date stamp may have continued in use before being replaced by a Queensland date stamp
