Cairns Railway - TPO

Cairns RLY - TPO [Cairns Railway - Travelling Post Office], running between Cairns - Mareeba Junction - Almaden from 8 May 1911 to 31 January 1919. This ran two days a week over the Government Railway from Cairns to Mareeba, and then over the privately- owned Chillagoe Railway to Almaden. The frequency of the run was reduced to weekly from 6 February 1918, before ending on 31 January 1919
