Ballugan post office, 24 km north of Kilkivan. It was the office of the Culgoa Copper Mine and was 3 km west of the Ballugan station homestead. According to Frew, it opened as a receiving office in 1904 and was elevated to a post office around January 1910 before being reduced to a receiving office later that year and closing entirely in mid-1911. However these dates to not tie in with those seen on the Ballugan datestamps, which suggests the post office was in operation sometime between 1907 and 1909
